Senior Shopify Developer

Role Overview

We seek an experienced Shopify Plus Developer with over six years of practical expertise to manage and enhance our main storefront. The role involves designing, developing, and refining scalable, efficient Shopify solutions tailored to our business needs while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy intricate, responsive Shopify themes from the ground up using best practices.
• Develop and sustain custom Shopify applications employing technologies such as Node.js, React, Ruby on Rails, and PHP to expand store functionality beyond standard capabilities.
• Plan and integrate robust third-party systems including OMS, WMS, and PIM.
• Collaborate with digital marketing teams to conduct audits and implement performance and SEO enhancements that improve site speed, core web vitals, and search rankings.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and support junior developers to maintain code quality and standards.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and marketers to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges across front-end, back-end, and API layers.

Team Interaction

This position does not have direct reports but requires active engagement and collaboration within the department and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong familiarity with the Shopify Admin portal and Liquid templating language.
• Expertise in Shopify theme development, maintenance, and checkout extensibility.
• Experience in custom app development with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), and working with metafields, metaobjects, and customer data models.
• Ability to integrate with multiple third-party systems and platforms.

Experience

A minimum of six years in web development, with at least four years dedicated to the Shopify Plus platform.
