About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Planner to join a prominent infrastructure and construction venture based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will be entrusted with the creation, upkeep, supervision, and reporting of project timelines while strictly adhering to contractual stipulations and industry-standard methodologies. This position demands in-depth skills in planning, scheduling, progress tracking, delay investigations, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and regularly update comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
- Create baseline timelines aligning with contract mandates.
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding frameworks, calendars, and key project milestones.
- Oversee and assess schedules related to engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Track project advancement and spot any deviations from the schedule.
- Conduct detailed schedule evaluations and propose corrective measures to address delays.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including dashboards and presentations for management.
- Formulate recovery and acceleration plans when necessary.
- Engage actively in project review meetings involving clients and consultants.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims supported by schedule analysis and delay evaluations.
- Carry out resource allocation and productivity assessments as needed.
- Confirm that schedule updates precisely mirror the on-site progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of eight years of experience handling major infrastructure or large-scale projects within Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
- Experience with mega projects is highly desirable.
- Possession of PMP or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certifications is advantageous.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Skilled in Microsoft Project.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and various reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
