About the Role
The Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Project Manager plays a crucial role in leading and providing technical expertise in MEP engineering disciplines. This role manages multiple construction projects ensuring top-notch quality aligned with global best practices and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft detailed project plans covering scope, budgets, timelines, and resource deployment to guarantee project success.
- Direct cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, offering leadership and guidance throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and regulatory bodies to maintain project goals, requirements, and compliance.
- Supervise quality assurance processes by performing inspections, audits, and tests to confirm all MEP installations satisfy design criteria, codes, and client standards.
- Track and manage project financials, including budget monitoring and implementing cost-saving measures to maintain profitability.
- Recognize and address project risks by developing contingency plans to avoid schedule delays, disputes, and budget overruns.
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring progress aligns with milestones and enhancing productivity to meet deadlines.
- Maintain transparent communication among all stakeholders, regularly updating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.
- Control and approve modifications to project scope and specifications by evaluating impacts and negotiating with involved parties.
- Ensure all project documentation, such as reports, drawings, specifications, and correspondence, is accurate and well-maintained for accountability and compliance.
- Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives, engage in safety awareness activities, and assist in incident management consistent with company policies and Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
Experience and Education
- A minimum of 18 years professional experience, including over 5 years in relevant supervisory roles.
- Preferably with 10 years of experience working within GCC countries.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) is considered an advantage.
