About the Role
The Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager position at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, based in Dublin, is a permanent, full-time role reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer. This role is integral to the investment committee and operates primarily within the macro analysis segment of the investment process.
Key Objectives
- Drive alpha generation by developing investment and trading ideas across the company’s broad fund portfolio.
- Enhance volatility-adjusted returns by actively contributing to risk management processes for the entire fund range.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential key investors to support revenue growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Serve as lead manager for a fixed income portfolio fund.
- Oversee risk management duties across the Multi Asset fund range, including currency (FX) risks.
- Formulate and formalize the investment team’s macroeconomic perspectives that influence short- and long-term returns.
- Apply macroeconomic insights for identifying actionable cross-asset investment opportunities.
- Participate actively in the generation of macroeconomic trades and investment ideas.
- Lead client engagements such as meetings, presentations, and fundraising events, effectively communicating fund performance and strategic positioning.
- Contribute to public relations efforts by developing thought leadership content through media channels and company publications.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 10 years of buy-side experience at a leading (Blue Chip) financial institution.
- Proven track record managing an active Fixed Income portfolio with demonstrable investment success.
- Strong proficiency in corporate credit markets and preferably experience in foreign exchange (FX) trading.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative investment team environment.
