Senior AutoCAD Engineer - MEP Projects (Firefighting & Plumbing)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior AutoCAD Engineer specialized in MEP projects, focusing on firefighting and plumbing systems. The role involves preparing comprehensive 2D AutoCAD drawings, including layouts, sections, installation plans, and shop drawings aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for firefighting and plumbing MEP projects.
• Develop shop, working, layout, section, and installation drawings.
• Prepare firefighting layouts such as fire hydrant systems, sprinkler networks, fire pump rooms, and associated piping.
• Draft plumbing layouts covering water supply, drainage, sanitary, and piping systems.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from site inspections, consultants, client comments, and design alterations.
• Liaise closely with MEP engineers, architects, site engineers, and contractors to maintain project alignment.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and material requirement assessments as needed.
• Conduct site visits to verify and update drawings according to actual site conditions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in MEP drafting or design.
• Proficient in handling firefighting and plumbing projects within the MEP domain.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD software expertise.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, especially firefighting and plumbing engineering.
• Knowledge of fire hydrant and sprinkler systems.
• Abilities in developing shop and working drawings for construction.
• Capability in quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and piping layout design.
