Scrum Master

Job Overview

We are seeking a Scrum Master based in the United Kingdom to join a technology-focused environment, supporting multiple Agile teams remotely across Europe. This role involves advancing team autonomy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives by coaching, facilitating, and fostering continuous improvement across 3-5 Scrum and Kanban teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor several Scrum and Kanban teams of varying Agile maturity levels to increase their collaboration, effectiveness, and self-organization.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including Scrum events, retrospectives, workshops, and strategic discussions with stakeholders.
• Coach Product Owners, team leaders, and team members on Agile tenets and continuous delivery best practices.
• Support the growth of other Scrum Masters and contribute to broadening Agile methodologies throughout the organization.
• Analyze and report on delivery, flow, quality, and team health metrics using dashboards to drive improvement and decisions.
• Identify and escalate challenges affecting teams beyond their immediate scope, aiding in their resolution.
• Initiate and back process optimization and delivery excellence projects focused on collaboration.
• Collaborate on Agile strategy creation, balancing shared principles and autonomy across teams.
• Encourage a culture that values transparency, innovation, psychological safety, and continuous learning.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or a similar role managing multiple Agile teams.
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks, adaptable to team needs and business goals.
• Proven ability to develop and collaborate with Product Owners, engineering leads, and stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation skills capable of managing complex discussions and conflict resolution.
• Experience in assessing team maturity and fostering psychologically safe environments.
• Practical usage of Delivery and Flow metrics such as Lead Time, Cycle Time, Throughput, WIP, Flow Efficiency, and Velocity.
• Capability to link process metrics to quality, business results, and team health insights.
• Proficiency creating dashboards and reports with Jira, Google Sheets, and Confluence.
• Understanding of software development life cycles, version control (Git Flow), CI/CD, release management, and DevOps practices.
• Strong systems thinking, influence without authority, excellent communication skills, and comfort with data-driven conversations.
• Additional experience in product companies, scaling Agile, Evidence-Based Management, or technical background considered a plus.
