About The Opportunity
We are seeking a Scheduler to join Austal Defence Australia (ADA), playing a vital role in program planning and scheduling. Reporting directly to the SSA Planning & Scheduling Manager, you will support the creation and upkeep of program schedules spanning production, engineering, procurement, and related departments, making sure these schedules meet organizational standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the Planning and Scheduling Framework, ensuring it aligns with program objectives, contracts, and best industry practices.
- Promote a culture of ongoing process improvement and compliance with scheduling standards throughout projects and programs.
- Implement best practices in project lifecycle planning and integrate new materials and product planning technologies.
- Provide expert counsel on scheduling within Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks and strong program control environments to ensure schedules are precise, defensible, and achieve strategic goals.
- Effectively communicate schedule outcomes, risks, and changes to stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring transparency and coordination.
- Track and report schedule adherence, conduct variance analyses, and apply corrective measures to keep projects on schedule.
- Manage resource allocation across multiple projects to optimize utilization and continuously improve scheduling procedures and tools.
Candidate Requirements
- Two to three years of experience in marine, defence, or intricate manufacturing/production industries.
- Completion of at least Certificate 101 and 102 in Primavera training or equivalent practical experience in Primavera scheduling.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
- Strong results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and risk awareness.
- Eligibility to obtain and sustain Australian Defence Security Clearance.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems and Defence contract environments.
