Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator position based in Auckland, New Zealand, within DePuy Synthes, involves providing crucial administrative support to commercial teams, helping them effectively implement their sales and marketing strategies.
Key Duties
- Coordinate the development, approval, dissemination, and management of demo equipment and sales materials, liaising with external agencies and internal sales personnel.
- Handle processing of marketing invoices, service contracts, and reconcile them with finance records.
- Organize both internal and external events, including conferences involving healthcare professionals.
- Support Product and Marketing/Group Managers by managing equipment and performing non-customer-facing tasks.
- Provide administrative assistance to business unit leaders.
- Test and aid the deployment of Sales and Marketing tools such as Salesforce and Showpad.
Skills and Competencies
- Market analysis including research, forecasting, metrics, and sales analytics.
- Financial literacy encompassing profit and loss oversight, budgeting, and analyzing financial data.
- Understanding of customer and market dynamics including product knowledge, therapeutic areas, competitive landscapes, and customer insights.
- Expertise in brand strategy—branding, defining value propositions, segmentation, and positioning.
- Executing marketing strategies covering brand messaging, targeting, market development, marketing mix, distribution channels, and sales execution.
- Strong planning, organizational, project management, collaboration, customer focus, and effective communication skills.
Role Scope
- Effective verbal and written communication with internal teams, sales members, suppliers, and healthcare professionals.
- Support marketing teams by timely material provision and positively impacting Ethicon's perception among healthcare professionals.
- Work under supervision and coaching from Product and Marketing Managers.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in science, pharmacy, healthcare, business, or marketing.
- Relevant industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capability to manage projects and events end-to-end.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills with prioritization abilities.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to resolving tasks.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Entry-level candidates with sufficient experience are encouraged – must be methodical, quick learners, self-starters, and professional with strong commitment to Johnson & Johnson's values.
