Roster Coordinator - Coolum

Role overview

Sundale is looking for an experienced Roster Coordinator to support its Coolum Beach site on a permanent full-time basis. This position is central to keeping care staffing organised so residents receive dependable, high-quality support each day. The role suits someone who enjoys working in a busy operational setting and values accuracy, communication and practical problem-solving.

Key duties

• Create and maintain staff rosters in line with site needs, service demand, budgeted hours and team structure.
• Manage day-to-day roster adjustments and organise relief staff when required.
• Keep staffing levels and skill mix appropriate for resident care and operational requirements.
• Assign shifts according to employment agreements and roster rules.
• Arrange leave coverage and update any roster changes or variations.
• Check that timesheets are correct and submitted on time.
• Respond to roster-related questions from team members.
• Raise issues such as unplanned absences, no-shows and excessive leave with the Residential Services Manager.
• Assist with broader administrative tasks as needed.

What you need to bring

The successful candidate will be highly organised, steady under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities. You should have experience with rostering or workforce scheduling, strong attention to detail, good computer skills and the confidence to work with rostering systems. Clear communication, strong people skills and the ability to solve problems quickly are important. A flexible, positive and team-oriented approach is also valued. Knowledge of employment conditions, enterprise agreements or rostering compliance will be an advantage.

Qualifications and checks

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant hands-on experience. Prior rostering or workforce coordination experience is required. A National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment are also required.
