About the role
RENECO International Wildlife Consultants LTD is scaling up its conservation work and adding new roles to support the growth of its projects. The organization focuses on a worldwide strategy to help recover and protect Houbara bustard populations in North Africa and Asia. Its work combines research and applied field-based efforts across centers in Morocco, Central Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula.
This opening offers the chance to contribute to a long-term conservation initiative within a multidisciplinary environment.
Core responsibilities
- Build, roll out, and keep current a full risk management framework that follows COSO principles and ADDA standards.
- Set the organization’s risk policies, procedures, and governance model at the enterprise level.
- Keep the risk register up to date with the main organizational exposures.
- Drive the identification and evaluation of risks across operations and projects.
- Create heatmaps and risk matrices to help leadership make informed decisions.
- Run risk-focused workshops with both senior leaders and operational teams.
- Design mitigation measures and internal controls, then oversee their execution.
- Allocate ownership for each risk and track the progress and effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Contribute to contingency planning and business continuity preparation.
- Track changing risk levels and new threats on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare regular risk updates and maintain a dashboard for senior management visibility.
- Advise management on risk governance and internal control practices.
- Develop and deliver training that strengthens risk awareness across the organization.
Requirements
- A master’s degree or an equivalent professional credential, such as Certified Risk Manager, is mandatory.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, governance, or compliance is needed.
- Proven ability to establish and implement organization-wide risk management frameworks.
- Experience working with regulators, external auditors, and government bodies is required.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, enterprise risk concepts such as COSO and ISO 31000, ADDA standards knowledge, and internal control principles.
- Capability to design and run training sessions on risk processes, controls, and awareness topics.
- Hands-on experience with risk management platforms, assessment tools, and reporting systems.
- Strong command of English in speaking, writing, and reading is required.
