Role Overview
The Senior Specialist in Risk Management plays a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various organizational departments including operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic areas. This professional is accountable for performing detailed risk evaluations and implementing effective controls to safeguard the company’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate both existing and potential risks within all divisions of the company.
- Perform routine assessments to understand the severity and probability of potential risks.
- Design, execute, and maintain strategies and controls aimed at reducing identified risks.
- Partner closely with departmental leaders to ensure risk mitigation measures are successfully deployed.
- Compile detailed reports summarizing risk management activities and present insights to senior leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive records of assessments, mitigation efforts, and any incidents.
- Ensure organizational compliance with pertinent legal regulations and industry standards related to risk management.
- Keep up-to-date with best practices and new developments in the risk management field.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance employee understanding of risk management principles and encourage a proactive risk-aware culture.
- Support investigations of risk-related incidents and facilitate the implementation of corrective measures.
- Monitor the efficiency of risk control methods and provide ongoing evaluations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is required; master's degree is advantageous.
- Preferably hold professional credentials such as FRM, CRM, or equivalent in risk management.
- Possess between 5 to 7 years of experience in risk management with a minimum of 3 years in a senior capacity.
- Expertise in risk management processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective risk mitigation plans.

- Strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
- Effective collaboration skills, able to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with a variety of risk management software and tools.
