About the Role
Join the Revenue team at Hunter New England Local Health District, dedicated to managing revenue flow and making a meaningful impact. The Revenue Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the accurate and timely recovery of revenue across the district.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support invoicing processes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency healthcare services.
- Prepare and distribute invoices, and actively follow up on unpaid debts to ensure prompt recovery.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address billing inquiries and resolve outstanding balances.
- Maintain precise revenue records and assist in optimizing revenue systems and workflows.
- Operate efficiently in a high-volume setting where accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines are fundamental.
- Work within a 24/7 rotating roster covering Waratah and John Hunter Hospital campuses.
Candidate Profile
- Experience and understanding of revenue generation and debt collection processes.
- Strong organizational abilities to handle significant workloads and adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service aptitude.
- Familiarity with Medicare and Private Health Insurance entitlements.
- Proficient use of electronic revenue systems alongside Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptable, cooperative team member capable of managing competing priorities.
- Valid NSW driver’s license with willingness to travel for work-related tasks.
Employment Details
- Permanent full-time position with 38 hours per week.
- Located at Waratah Campus.
- Salary range: $78,183.85 to $79,973.57 per annum, plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging options.
- Permanent employment requires Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship with a current passport.
- Participation in the 24/7 rotating roster between Waratah and John Hunter Hospital.
