This position suits an experienced apparel designer who excels in a fast-moving setting and has a passion for transforming client ideas into ready-to-produce garments. The role involves close cooperation with sales and client interaction teams to ensure each collection adheres to brand identities while embracing a contemporary look.
Key Responsibilities
- Create trendy apparel collections customized to client requirements and brand rules.
- Prepare comprehensive technical packages for manufacturing, detailing specifications, materials, and construction guidelines.
- Generate lifelike mockups and visual presentations to secure client approvals.
- Work collaboratively with sales and client teams to understand demands and convert them into appealing designs.
- Manage the design lifecycle from initial concept through production-ready documentation, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is uncompromised.
- Maintain and refresh a collection of past projects and design resources.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in apparel design with a strong portfolio highlighting bespoke garment creations.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and associated design tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment structure, manufacturing techniques, and fabric selection.
- Capability to juggle several projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines without losing quality.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience in producing tech packs and engaging with manufacturing processes is mandatory.
- Keen eye for detail and a dedication to preserving a premium, fashion-forward appearance.
- Available for part-time contract work; candidates from any location applying remotely are encouraged.
