Overview
The Relationship Account Management (RAM) team at MongoDB focuses on fostering enduring partnerships with established clients, promoting business growth, and generating advocacy. Founded around two years ago, this team continues to expand within the Asia Pacific region. The role demands adaptability to change and ambiguity while maintaining a strong customer-centric mindset for a diverse APAC client base.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as the main liaison for your assigned customer portfolio, leveraging MongoDB's resources to boost client retention and expansion.
- Support client success, provide education and enablement, and manage upselling, cross-selling, and renewal processes.
- Function as a strategic advisor aligned with clients' MongoDB goals, internal workflows, and overall corporate strategies.
- Identify, cultivate, and broaden customer relationships and foster MongoDB’s position as a strategic partner.
- Negotiate contract renewals and expansion opportunities while following MongoDB's sales methodologies to sustain and grow revenue.
- Manage territory and account prioritization, performing regular account planning and risk evaluations.
- Maintain accurate weekly and quarterly business forecasts.
- Utilize data insights and proactive communication to mitigate client risks.
- Collaborate extensively with MongoDB leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve customer objectives.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a target-driven sales or account management role with revenue responsibility.
- Proven track record in managing complex customer relationships involving renewals, upselling, and cross-selling, frequently dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience handling enterprise or commercial clients and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences effectively.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities in dynamic environments.
- Analytical aptitude for leveraging data to recognize client risks and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborative mindset, enthusiastic about working across teams.
- Interest in technology and eagerness to learn about MongoDB and cloud computing platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with database technologies, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, or SaaS enterprise software.
- Additional language skills in APAC languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Thai are advantageous.
