About the HR Team

The HR Team, under the leadership of the HR Director Barry Holmes, comprises HR Partners, Learning and Development, Operations and Organisational Change, Management Information, and Recruitment teams. The recruitment team provides the primary point of contact for new staff and is dedicated to high-quality service and experience.

Role Overview

The Recruitment Partner will handle comprehensive recruitment responsibilities, including coordinating daily recruitment processes, working closely with HR partners and hiring managers to enhance recruitment procedures university-wide. This role supports recruitment for academic, clinical, research, and professional services positions across various departments and schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities: developing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, shortlisting, organizing interviews, participating on panels, and ensuring compliance with Garda vetting, occupational health, references, and qualification checks.
  • Negotiate contracts and facilitate candidate onboarding.
  • Handle recruitment for positions at all seniority levels and in all university areas.
  • Lead process improvement projects and participate in broader HR and EDI initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders across all levels, foster strong hiring team relationships, and guide candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Provide timely, comprehensive feedback to candidates and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with HR colleagues throughout the recruitment cycle.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR Management, Business, or similar field; relevant experience accepted.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in recruitment within a professional setting, including in-house or agency roles.
  • Capability to effectively evaluate and select top candidates across multiple levels and disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Experience utilizing social media and other digital platforms for recruitment purposes.
  • Proficient in IT, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and online recruitment tools.

Desirable Experience: Background in academic, research, or medical environments, with familiarity in systems administration and CoreHR considered beneficial.
