Role overview

We are looking for a Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join the busy ASC Service in Prescot and contribute to improving outcomes for the people who use the service.

This position suits someone who can work flexibly and understands the importance of handling service user and staff information with complete confidentiality at all times.

What you will do

You will be a key part of the admin support team, delivering a professional, efficient and customer-focused reception and administrative service.

The role supports clinicians, patients and carers who use the service, while helping the workplace run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

You will also manage tasks connected to patient appointments and maintain both paper-based and electronic records.

In addition, you will help implement the quality strategy in the designated area by contributing to effective systems and processes.

About the employer

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest providers of physical and mental health services in the North West, supporting more than 1.4 million people across the region. The trust also delivers commissioned services across the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

Its services include specialist inpatient and community care for physical and mental health, as well as specialist inpatient support for mental health, learning disabilities, addiction and brain injury. It is also one of only three trusts in the UK with high secure mental health facilities.

The organisation is committed to the principle of “perfect care” — care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. It works closely with staff, service users, families and carers to shape and improve future services, and is currently undergoing organisational and service transformation to raise quality and reduce costs safely.

Working arrangements

Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
