Role Overview
The Rebar Detailer role is a full-time remote position tasked with generating precise reinforcement drawings and bar lists for concrete structural projects. Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural and structural drawings, creating comprehensive rebar shop drawings, and liaising with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to clarify design intentions. The position requires verifying dimensions, adhering to codes and standards, and revising drawings in response to design updates or on-site feedback. Maintaining well-organized project documentation and adhering to deadlines is essential. The role demands effective communication in a remote work setting along with strong attention to accuracy and constructability.
Qualifications
- Proficient in detailing reinforcement bars and structural steel.
- Skillful in reading and interpreting architectural and steel structure drawings.
- Experienced in producing accurate shop drawings and coordination details.
- Knowledgeable about building codes, industry standards, and reinforcement best practices.
- Competent with CAD or detailing software such as AutoCAD, RebarCAD, Tekla, or similar.
- Highly attentive to detail with strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, suited for remote collaboration.
- Technical education in civil/structural engineering or equivalent drafting experience.
- Previous experience in rebar or structural steel detailing is an advantage.
