Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial, contractual, and quantity estimating tasks for significant infrastructure and mass earthworks projects. The role centers on earthwork quantity estimation, cost control, and managing contract-related financial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately perform quantity calculations for mass earthworks activities such as excavation, backfilling, grading, and installation of infrastructure utilities using Civil 3D and Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
- Prepare, validate, and process monthly Interim Payment Applications for clients and subcontractors to ensure timely payments.
- Assess, negotiate, and process variation orders, scope modifications, and commercial claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Undertake cost analysis, monitor cash flow, and assist in maintaining project budgets to ensure financial control.
- Reconcile on-site executed quantities with contractual drawings, survey data, and subcontract agreements to verify accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Professional accreditation with RICS or Saudi Council of Engineers (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, CostX software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of FIDIC contracts and regional standard construction contracts.
- At least 4 to 6 years of quantity surveying experience specialized in large civil infrastructure, mass earthworks, and site development projects.
- Excellent commercial insight, negotiation abilities, and expertise in verifying soil volume calculations.
