Job Overview and Responsibilities

The role involves comprehensive quality assurance activities in the corrugation and packaging process. Key duties include inspection and testing of raw materials such as boards, kraft, liner, adhesives, coatings, and films. Sampling, detailed testing, accurate reporting, and careful record-keeping are vital components of the job.

Monitoring in-process controls during both printing and post-printing stages is essential, alongside generating Certificates of Analysis (COA) for outgoing products. The incumbent will maintain and update calibration logs for laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments meet operational standards.

Evaluating customer specifications and comparing them with actual product outputs ensures alignment with quality requirements. The job demands meticulous documentation and traceability, managing job files per customer inputs including artwork, shade cards, and approved samples.

The candidate will inspect incoming materials and finished printed goods for defects, applying rigorous evaluation techniques to uphold quality standards. They will contribute to the advancement of quality control procedures and testing protocols, particularly for press and post-press processes, targeting defect reduction.

Ensuring all inspection and quality control processes adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and inspection test plans, and conducting trial runs with new materials in collaboration with production teams, providing feedback for continuous improvement, is expected.

Commitment to ongoing process improvements, imparting training to reduce customer complaints, and preparing and submitting new job shade cards before material dispatch are integral to this position. Additionally, preparation of shade cards aligned to customer references such as artwork, proofs, samples, or Pantone codes form part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of practical experience in printing and packaging or a related sector.
• Educational background with a Diploma or B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
