About the Role
Goodwill Southwest Florida seeks a meticulous Quality Control and Pricing Specialist located in Punta Gorda, FL. This role supports our mission by ensuring donated goods are handled with accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. The position demands adaptability, reliability, and dedication to consistently uphold high standards in sorting, pricing, and preparing merchandise for sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and document donated items per established Kaizen standards and processing guidelines.
- Evaluate item quality, assign pricing following the pricing guide, and ready merchandise for display on the sales floor.
- Maintain precision and productivity to achieve or surpass daily targets while aiding ongoing process enhancements.
- Deliver superior customer interactions, including assisting as a donation attendant when required.
- Acquire cross-functional skills to assist various facets of the production workflow, ensuring seamless team operations.
- Keep the work environment tidy, well-organized, and safe, complying strictly with operational and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Preferably possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically capable of stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and able to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to adhere strictly to pricing policies detailed in the pricing guide.
