Job Overview

This role is based in Pune and follows a rotational shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The position requires strong experience in data engineering, Snowflake, Python, and cloud-based development on AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and support data engineering and data science solutions using Snowflake, Python, and AWS-based AI/cloud platforms.
  • Design and tune Snowflake workloads, including capabilities related to Cortex, agents, search, and LLM workflows, with enrichment through prompts or retrieval-augmented generation approaches.
  • Create reliable data models and work with unstructured data from cloud data lakes such as AWS S3.
  • Write, test, and deploy Python applications and AWS Lambda functions using strong object-oriented design, data handling with Pandas/DataFrames, and concurrent programming techniques.
  • Use tools such as VS Code, Anaconda, Git, and Bitbucket for development and source control.
  • Apply SQLAlchemy and related ORM practices to keep code maintainable and well-structured.
  • Deploy microservices and web applications on AWS using Docker or Kubernetes, supported by CI/CD workflows.
  • Administer Snowflake account structures, roles, permissions, and secure internal data sharing setups.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver work on time, with quality and cost efficiency.
  • Use DBT and Apache Airflow where needed to orchestrate and manage data pipelines.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of practical experience in data engineering or data science projects, especially with Snowflake and AWS AI/cloud environments.
  • Strong Python development skills, including unit testing.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Snowpark, and Cortex.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL for integration and processing tasks.
  • Experience with AWS services and deploying serverless or cloud-native solutions.
  • Comfort with Git, Bitbucket, VS Code, and Anaconda.
  • Ability to work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to Airflow and DBT is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, context enrichment methods, Snowflake role-based access, and cloud data sharing practices is an advantage.
