Position Overview
This role is based at POP MART's Culver City, CA office with a strict onsite policy requiring attendance five days per week to encourage team collaboration and culture in a high-trust environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate celebrity and influencer engagement initiatives by supporting strategy execution and daily communications with talent representatives and stylists.
- Manage brand gifting and product seeding programs targeted at celebrities, influencers, and cultural tastemakers, tracking relevant social media and media mentions.
- Coordinate product seeding aligned with launches and campaigns, collaborating with marketing, retail, and e-commerce teams.
- Oversee inventory and shipment logistics for PR gifting efforts and monitor return on investment from seeded placements.
- Assist in cultivating media relationships across fashion, lifestyle, pop culture, and business sectors by drafting press materials and managing media outreach and event coverage.
- Produce and edit various PR documentation ensuring message consistency and accuracy across communications.
- Support PR events such as pop-ups, store openings, and launch activations by managing guest relations, media RSVPs, and post-event analyses.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years' experience in public relations, preferably with exposure to fashion, luxury, lifestyle, entertainment, or consumer brands.
- Proven expertise in celebrity relations, influencer programs, media pitching, and professional writing/editing.
- Strong grasp of pop culture, social media platforms, and entertainment media.
- Exceptional communication abilities, organizational skills, and multitasking capability.
- Competence in media monitoring and PR reporting tools.
- Experience in-house or agency-side PR for global brands is advantageous.
Preferred Attributes
- A passion for fashion, designer toys, collectibles, art, and youth culture.
- Established contacts with media and celebrity stylists.
- Experience supporting multi-market or international campaigns.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during key launches and events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated or stationary for extended periods while using office equipment.
- Occasional capability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
