About Woodtech Consultants Pvt Ltd
Woodtech is a rapidly expanding firm specializing in solutions and services for woodworking and related industrial sectors. Currently expanding into new office and project sites in Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh, the company seeks a qualified Project Planning Engineer with a Civil Engineering background to contribute to these developments.
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The Project Planning Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and infrastructure projects for new office setups. Key duties include creating detailed project plans and schedules, monitoring ongoing construction activities, preparing bill of quantities (BOQ), estimating quantities and materials, and managing project costs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines for civil works and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work aligns with approved drawings and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, material consumption, and expenditures against approved plans.
- Identify delays or site-related issues and facilitate prompt resolution.
- Prepare regular progress reports for management oversight.
- Support procurement activities related to civil, electrical, and interior infrastructure needs.
- Manage coordination between project locations in Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Between 3 to 6 years of experience in project planning and execution in civil construction or office/infrastructure development.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and project management.
- Proficiency or working knowledge of MS Excel; experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools is a plus.
- Effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in project planning and scheduling techniques.
- Experience in site supervision and civil works execution.
- Familiarity with contractor and vendor management processes.
- Ability to maintain project documentation and create status reports.
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring timely delivery.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel to project sites.
Additional Information
Frequent travel between Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh project sites is expected. Candidates must be comfortable working at various on-site locations and engaging with contractors and vendors directly.
