About the Role

A prominent infrastructure and engineering firm expanding across Ireland and the UK is seeking a Project Accountant to join their finance division. This position is ideal for a proactive accountant keen to collaborate closely with operational teams, oversee the financial health of major projects, and advance their career within a dynamic, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to track the financial outcomes of various projects.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, managing cash flow, and analyzing profitability.
• Examine project expenses ensuring precise allocation of labor, materials, subcontractors, and third-party costs.
• Support processes related to monthly revenue recognition, work-in-progress reporting, accruals, and project reconciliations.
• Maintain comprehensive project audit records and aid in both internal and external audits.
• Deliver accurate financial reports while identifying areas to enhance processes and controls.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant with credentials such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Previous experience in project-related financial reporting is essential.
• Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle various priorities efficiently within a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with operational stakeholders.
