Product Manager - Startups

About the Role

Join Hyper Startup Studio in Melbourne as a Product Manager who transforms bold startup ideas into fully launched, investment-ready products within 12 to 16 weeks. This unique role involves close collaboration with first-time founders, taking ownership from raw concept to live product by leveraging all available tools, including AI, to accelerate and enhance delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery and strategic planning activities such as research and workshops to develop clear product directions from founder visions.
• Define minimum viable product (MVP) experiences and build prototypes to validate desirability, feasibility, and viability.
• Collaborate with AI developers and designers to construct and launch real products beyond prototypes.
• Develop commercial strategies with founders by shaping pricing, revenue models, and go-to-market plans.
• Support founders in capital raising by assisting with pitch decks, data rooms, and investor narratives.
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 15 startup projects simultaneously ensuring continuous progress, quality, and alignment with business goals from inception to launch.
• Enhance team workflows by refining product management processes and integrating AI tools effectively.

What We Expect

• Proven proficiency in using various AI platforms and tools to improve research, idea validation, product development speed, and outcomes.
• Experience in product discovery and crafting research-informed product strategies with validated solutions.
• Knowledge of the Australian startup ecosystem and understanding of early-stage business models.
• Confidence in managing product life cycles from idea through to launch.
• Strong commercial insight into pricing, revenue generation, and go-to-market strategy formulation.
• High emotional intelligence with excellent interpersonal skills to engage and adapt with diverse founders and team members.
• Ability to embrace ambiguity, demonstrate ownership, and maintain high-quality work standards.
