NAS, established in 1996 as Canada's first web-based valuation platform, offers a customizable appraisal management system that streamlines valuation processes for lenders, insurers, and mortgage professionals, now also expanded internationally.
Position Overview
The Product Designer role involves collaborating closely with product managers, developers, engineers, and business leaders to craft user-friendly and aesthetically compelling software products. Responsibilities include preparing detailed mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and ensuring final products meet high design standards. This is a full-time position based within the product team at TNG.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a small team to design software accessible across various platforms.
- Convert ideas and requirements into appealing and intuitive user experiences using wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system to ensure product consistency.
- Identify and resolve design and usability challenges proactively.
- Partner with developers to achieve pixel-perfect implementation.
- Coordinate with marketing to align designs with brand standards and support marketing initiatives as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software, visual, or interaction design.
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Moqups.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative design processes.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in team settings.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with sharp listening capabilities.
- Knowledge of HTML5 considered beneficial; front-end development experience is a plus.
