Role overview
MBRF is looking for a Procurement Senior Analyst to support its Jeddah operations and broader regional procurement activities. This position plays a key part in developing procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships, and improving value across indirect categories within the GCC, international markets, and the global procurement function.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee approximately USD 50 million in spend across co-packing, distribution partnerships, new category assessments, and other recurring procurement activities.
- Contribute to short-, medium-, and long-term commercial planning for operations across the region and globally.
- Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to design and execute category strategies that improve service quality and deliver sustainable total cost of ownership benefits.
- Lead data-driven supplier negotiations using internal data, external benchmarks, market trends, and supplier pricing models.
- Identify opportunities to create new business value, streamline processes, and reduce costs without waiting for direction.
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts covering cash flow, purchase price variance, and other financial measures for assigned categories.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline is required.
- MCIPS or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Strong command of English is essential; Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement, and/or supply chain management within the food industry.
- Hands-on experience with sourcing complex service agreements and multiple indirect categories.
- Practical exposure to RFI, RFP, and RFQ creation, evaluation, negotiation, execution, and contract administration.
- Strong capability in negotiation, contract management, communication, and relationship building.
- Understanding of legal considerations, contractual principles, and negotiation methods used in complex agreements.
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP, ARIBA, and COUPA, along with supplier performance metrics and KPIs.
- Good awareness of the Middle East market and the ability to work effectively across different cultural settings.
- Comfort handling multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and a demanding workload.
- Analytical, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams.
