Position Overview

Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Procurement Officer will adhere to established procurement plans and strategies to ensure optimal value and sustainable cost savings. This role involves monitoring daily procurement activities, overseeing stock levels, and identifying purchasing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement Manager in developing departmental strategic plans.
• Compile stock analysis reports incorporating item movement and feedback from Area Sales Managers, submitting these to the Procurement Manager promptly.
• Manage requisition processes by reviewing proformas and quotations, issuing purchase orders, and handling related procurement documentation.
• Ensure purchase orders accurately reflect items, quantities, delivery dates, terms, and special instructions.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain records to avoid stock shortages or gaps.
• Generate daily procurement cycle reports for the Procurement Manager to ensure timely product delivery.
• Maintain an up-to-date and accurate supplier database.
• Arrange insurance for upcoming shipments as necessary to mitigate risk during transit.
• Ensure all special customer orders are properly authorised and logged in the ERP system.
• Provide customers with Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets upon request.
• Review customs documentation, liaise with shipping agencies to resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely clearance to prevent demurrages and port fees.
• Maintain communication with suppliers regarding order updates, material specs, inquiries, and issues.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 4 years' experience in stock management or procurement of goods.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and cycles.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and generate precise procurement reports.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking skills, capable of performing under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Analytical skills essential for effective departmental data management.
