Role Overview
As a Procurement Executive, you will oversee procurement processes aligned with assigned roles and responsibilities, ensuring seamless sourcing and vendor management for efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct procurement activities adhering to defined roles and responsibilities.
- Manage sourcing and maintain relationships with vendors, including collaborating on Request for Quotations (RFQ) and onboarding beneficial vendors.
- Plan strategically while ensuring adherence to compliance and company guidelines.
- Manage order lifecycle from requisition, purchase order issuance, to project closure through close follow-ups.
- Gain thorough understanding of company process flows and policy guidelines to ensure compliance compliance.
- Utilize systems such as SAP MM, and company platforms like SRM and Knox efficiently for procurement tasks.
- Evaluate and validate costs against requests, leveraging historical data and market trends to prevent discrepancies.
- Coordinate effectively with stakeholders such as Sales, Delivery, Operations, and Finance to guarantee smooth project workflows.
- Complete month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all related tasks meet the closing schedule.
- Identify and resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
- Generate and submit accurate reports with verified data for management review.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing and order management, ideally within the IT sector.
- Hold a diploma or degree in related fields.
- Experience managing sourcing from local and overseas vendors, especially within the Asia Pacific region, is advantageous.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of quotations and contract terms; skilled in negotiation.
- Proficient user of ERP systems, specifically SAP.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for presentations.
