About Emirates Cable Corporation Interconnect (ECCI)
ECCI is a UAE-based company manufacturing high-reliability interconnect solutions specifically for aerospace and defense sectors. They focus on engineering and mass-producing complex wiring harnesses and cable assemblies tailored for mission-critical projects.
Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Procurement Assistant located in Abu Dhabi to support the procurement team. This position requires managing purchase requisitions, generating and issuing purchase orders, and keeping procurement data accurate. The role includes collaborating with internal teams to clarify purchase needs, engaging suppliers for price quotes, confirming delivery timelines, and troubleshooting order-related issues.
Key Duties
- Track the status of procurement orders and monitor inventory levels of materials and components.
- Maintain and update procurement records and databases systematically.
- Assist in vendor reviews and prepare reports evaluating their performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, contracts, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in procurement and purchasing processes, including supplier coordination and material sourcing.
- Proficient in managing purchase orders, including creation, follow-up, and documentation preferably within ERP systems.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess quotations, compare costs, and support informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Preferably holds a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Basic understanding of procurement workflows, contract management, and vendor relations; experience in manufacturing or aerospace/defense sectors is a plus.
- Skilled in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and familiar with ERP or MRP systems.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and teamwork in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.
