About Snowy Hydro

Snowy Hydro is a vibrant, integrated energy enterprise that has been supplying reliable, on-demand electricity to Australia for many years. The company manages a powerful portfolio of generation assets including the iconic Snowy Mountains Scheme, along with gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar operations. Additionally, Snowy Hydro provides electricity and gas services to more than 1.5 million retail customers through brands such as Red Energy and Lumo Energy. The Snowy 2.0 project represents the largest committed renewable energy initiative in Australia, aiming to deliver sustained, on-demand power and extensive storage capabilities for future generations.

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned, highly motivated Maintenance Planning Officer to join our operations team. The role centers on managing and preparing detailed work packages critical to implementing the regional master maintenance schedule within the Murray region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance tasks comply fully with Snowy Hydro’s established maintenance systems and protocols.
  • Develop and coordinate work and parts packages, including assessment of spare equipment requirements for all work within the region.
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager of Planning and Scheduling to guarantee timely and priority-aligned delivery of the regional maintenance timetable.
  • Manage contracts related to operational and maintenance job provisions.

This role requires full-time, on-site presence based in Khancoban within the Snowy Valleys, NSW. The position operates on a nine-day fortnight schedule and does not involve DIDO or FIFO arrangements. Candidate Profile

  • Trade qualification is essential, ideally supplemented with six or more years of post-trade experience.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance program standards, analytical methodologies, and work management practices.
  • Experience in planning maintenance for heavy industry or electrical generation sectors.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging with diverse personnel and stakeholders.
  • Competent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and statistical data analysis tools.
  • Alignment with Snowy Hydro’s core values: Safety, Decency, Teamwork, Agility, Courage, and Ownership.
