Role Overview
The Payroll & Systems Coordinator role involves overseeing all aspects of payroll administration and HR system management to support business-wide reporting. This includes supervising the entire payroll cycle, handling employee leave and termination processes, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in all payroll functions. The role also demands managing payroll inquiries, assisting users with system operations, performing regular reconciliations, and managing year-end tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end payroll processing with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update employee records across payroll and HR platforms
- Resolve issues related to HR and payroll systems promptly
- Support and train managers and employees in effectively using payroll and HR systems
- Generate routine reports and provide actionable business insights based on payroll and HR data
- Assist with various People & Culture administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle
- Support audit processes, ensure compliance standards are met, and assist with visa tracking
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years’ experience in payroll management
- Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring high-quality results
- Effective communicator with strong collaborative skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
Additional Information
- Work location: Arrowtown, Queenstown, New Zealand (onsite)
- Employment type: Fixed-term parental leave cover, approximately 12 months duration
- Hours: At least 25 hours weekly with flexibility to increase up to full-time
