About the role
Baanyan Softtech Services is hiring an OPT Recruiter to support its US Staffing team in Kolkata. This position focuses on finding, screening, and placing international students and recent graduates on OPT, CPT, and STEM OPT assignments across IT and non-IT roles in the United States. The company works with clients across mid-sized businesses and Global Fortune 500 organizations and offers a fast-paced environment with strong incentives and benefits.
What you will do
- Search for and engage OPT, CPT, and STEM OPT talent through online job platforms, social networks, referrals, and professional connections.
- Build a steady pool of qualified candidates for immediate and future hiring needs.
- Review resumes and conduct first-round interviews to assess experience, technical ability, communication, and visa eligibility.
- Explain job openings, candidate marketing steps, and placement procedures to applicants.
- Work with account managers, business development teams, and vendors to match candidates with suitable roles.
- Stay in regular contact with candidates during the recruitment and placement process.
- Record submissions, interview progress, offers, and placements in ATS/CRM tools.
- Keep candidate profiles and documentation complete and current.
- Work toward daily, weekly, and monthly hiring and placement goals.
- Remain informed about US immigration categories relevant to recruiting, including OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, and EAD.
What the company is looking for
- Prior experience recruiting OPT candidates for US IT staffing.
- Working knowledge of US immigration and employment visa processes, including OPT, CPT, H-1B, and related work authorizations.
- Hands-on sourcing experience using portals such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, and Dice.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage work independently and stay organized during night shifts.
- Comfort working under pressure and meeting tight recruitment timelines.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Staffing, or a related area.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to operate with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work night shift from 06:30 PM to 03:30 AM IST.
- Good negotiation skills and a graduation-level qualification.
