Position Overview and Core Duties

This role is responsible for enforcing technical safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and risk management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards including OSHA and Department of Defense (DOD) protocols across various operations. Key tasks include ongoing collaboration with Occupational Health and Installation Safety Officers, advising management on accident and fire prevention strategies, and executing Composite Risk Management procedures. The specialist will also oversee the annual safety audit and subsequent remediation actions, maintain regular Risk Assessment and Management (RAM) measures, and actively participate in the Force Protection and Anti-Terrorism Working Groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and maintain technical safety codes and risk management strategies for diverse operational environments.
  • Consult with Occupational Health and safety leadership regarding safety concerns when required.
  • Guide supervisors and managers on accident and fire prevention protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications
