Position Purpose
The Offshore Methods Draftsman will work under the Project Manager within the COMP2 / Ruya12 project as part of the Subsea Engineering Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply offshore transportation and installation expertise, especially relating to shallow water operations such as S-Lay, Jacket, Deck, Cable, and structural installations.
- Prepare and manage drawings related to anchor patterns for mooring offshore vessels.
- Develop drawings and coordinate offshore pipelines transportation and installation activities.
- Design transportation plans for offshore jackets, decks, bridges, and associated installations.
- Organize transportation layouts involving vessels and cargo barges.
- Oversee transportation and installation of various offshore components including piles, risers, j-tubes, sleepers, and mattresses.
- Contribute to the design of offshore subsea facilities including pipelines, flexible products, and subsea structures.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred; other engineering disciplines considered.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in offshore installation engineering, encompassing operational support, offshore work, and yard experience.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Technical knowledge in EPC projects, specifically relating to shallow water offshore activities and installations.
- Capability to operate in both onshore and offshore environments.
Technical and IT Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D or equivalent design tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel (advanced capabilities), PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
