About the Company

Ati Robotics, operating under AMIDC AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be part of their New Product Introduction (NPI) team based in Bangalore. This role focuses on working on flagship robotics and automation products.

Job Overview & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a proficient mechanical engineer possessing a diverse skill set, capable of independently leading and delivering projects with high quality and within tight timelines, thereby contributing significant value to the organization.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate concepts into detailed production-ready designs.
  • Apply comprehensive "Design for Manufacturability" expertise across various fabrication methods.
  • Utilize advanced 3D mechanical design tools, including Inventor and Creo CAD software.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to design, manufacturing, and assembly workflows.

Preferred Additional Responsibilities

  • Engage in research and development efforts aimed at enhancing product performance and reliability.
  • Experience or interest in mobile robotics or robotics is advantageous.
  • Participate actively in production phases and hardware/system testing.
  • Perform on-site inspections at vendor facilities to ensure quality.
  • Provide support to Production, Installation, and Service teams to address lifecycle product issues.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on mechanical designs.
  • Document Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA/DFMEA) processes for mechanical systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Strong skills in both 3D and 2D CAD modeling.
  • Familiarity with PLM software such as Windchill or Teamcenter Engineer.
  • Experience working with multiple manufacturing processes like casting, machining, welding, plastic molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency in documenting FMEA/DFMEA for mechanical systems.
  • Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and their properties.
  • Ability to learn rapidly and thrive in a fast-changing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics is a plus.
