Recess Hotel & Club, launching in Fall 2026 in historic Savannah, GA, is a fresh hospitality concept featuring a 221-room lifestyle hotel combined with an exclusive members club, rooftop pool, French brasserie, wellness club, coworking spaces, and vibrant social venues. This project is by Left Lane, the team behind the celebrated Hotel Bardo Savannah, renowned for multiple prestigious industry awards and recognitions. Role Overview
The Night Auditor will act as the overnight hotel ambassador responsible for delivering exemplary guest service during late hours, while ensuring the precision of the daily financial audits and operational reports. This position blends front desk duties with overnight accounting and audit tasks to guarantee a smooth transition to the day shift and a secure, welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level guest services throughout the night, including managing check-ins and check-outs.
- Conduct thorough nightly audit procedures to verify accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
- Reconcile daily revenue streams, payments, and settlement documents.
- Prepare and circulate essential operational and financial reports for management.
- Promptly address guest inquiries, concerns, and emergencies in a professional manner.
- Maintain situational awareness about hotel occupancy, arrivals, departures, and special requests.
- Ensure effective communication of night activities and significant information to leadership and incoming teams.
- Oversee hotel security and implement emergency protocols as needed.
- Assist with reservations, room allocation, and administrative tasks.
- Keep the front desk and lobby areas clean and organized.
- Foster the hotel’s service culture by creating memorable guest experiences and proactively resolving issues.
Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Night Auditor in high-end or luxury full-service hotels or resorts is essential.
- Skill in auditing complex operations involving multiple revenue streams such as rooms, F&B, spa, club memberships, retail, or resort amenities.
- Background in guest-facing front desk or guest services roles is required.
- Strong understanding of hotel accounting practices, daily revenue reconciliation, payment handling, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with property management systems and overnight audit processes.
- High numerical accuracy, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Proven ability to deliver professional service in an upscale hospitality environment.
- Capacity to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and stay composed during guest issues or emergencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable attendance with willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessitated by business demands.
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to stand and walk for extended durations.
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and handle banquet equipment when necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other variable schedules based on operational needs.
