Music Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher for a permanent full-time role in Doha, Qatar within our Academic Department. Reporting to the Specialist Coordinator, the role involves inspiring and challenging pupils while delivering structured, engaging music lessons and supporting their individual educational needs.

Key Teaching Responsibilities

• Establish a respectful, safe, and motivating learning environment that stimulates pupils' intellectual curiosity.
• Set ambitious goals tailored for pupils with diverse backgrounds and capabilities and foster positive attitudes and values.
• Monitor and be accountable for pupils' attainment and progress, incorporating their prior knowledge into lesson planning.
• Encourage self-reflection in students concerning their learning progress and needs.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of music subjects and curricula, ensuring pupils' sustained interest and understanding.
• Design and deliver well-structured lessons, create homework and extracurricular activities to deepen comprehension, and continuously reflect on teaching effectiveness.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate pupils' individual strengths, development stages, and special requirements, including those with disabilities or English as an additional language.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement classroom behavior management techniques to ensure a safe, orderly environment and foster courteous conduct.

Additional Professional Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and collaborative initiatives.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and parents, communicating effectively about student achievements.
• Support and guide classroom support staff and engage in continuous professional development.
• Comply with and promote health, safety, and safeguarding policies across the school environment.

Health and Safety Duties

• Promote responsible attitudes toward safety among pupils.
• Conduct playground supervision diligently and uphold safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety guidelines and protect both students and school properties.

• Maintain high ethical standards, respect pupils' dignity, and uphold professional boundaries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching certification authorized by Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
• Minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
