Role Overview

As a Merchandise Manager, you will be instrumental in crafting a professional brand presentation in physical retail locations. You will be responsible for developing seasonal displays, managing external service providers, and ensuring seamless product availability at the point of sale (POS). Your work will combine visual creativity with operational execution, while carefully monitoring key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the production and delivery of seasonal displays and permanent counter and placement elements, including initial design collaboration with retail designers, obtaining offers, evaluating prototypes, contract negotiations with suppliers, spare parts management, and onsite distribution.
• Expand and manage networks of merchandising, logistics, and store construction partners. Negotiate framework agreements and coordinate external service providers during rollouts, new store openings, and remodeling, ensuring close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Trade Marketing, Sales, Brand teams, and store management.
• Coordinate product supply logistics with Procurement, handle administrative duties like product data management and listings, execute product placements, and monitor store inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
• Ensure high-quality, brand-consistent presentation at POS, provide regular reports on product availability, sales, and competitor activity, and maintain strict oversight of CAPEX planning and budget adherence.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in POS or counter management or trade marketing, preferably within drugstore, beauty, or grocery retail environments.
• Strong organizational and process management skills with experience coordinating external agencies and service providers, along with negotiation expertise and project management resilience.
• Hands-on approach with a solid understanding of operational workflows such as product listings, stock management, and E-Plano utilization, alongside fundamental budget knowledge (CAPEX).
• Willingness to travel within assigned regions for POS inspections, store openings, and remodeling projects.
• Passion for beauty products, direct-to-consumer brands, and brick-and-mortar retail settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, capable of effectively engaging store staff, suppliers, and internal partners.
