Role Overview
We are seeking a Media Coordinator to join our Dublin-based Media Asset Management team, stationed at a client Remote Broadcast Centre. This role demands meticulous attention to metadata input, tagging, and archival to support live esports broadcasts reaching millions globally. The position requires clear communication skills, adaptability under pressure, and responsibilities ranging from real-time event tagging to post-event metadata management and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage media ingestion and source setup before events using appropriate software.
- Conduct system and user testing to refine workflows and document performance for future event productions.
- Apply and log metadata during live events accurately and promptly, adhering to global content operations standards.
- Perform quality control of broadcast recordings and associated files to ensure alignment with media management plans.
- Deliver content to partners such as Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, following distribution guidelines.
- Support product, creative, and production teams by timely delivery of footage and materials.
- Coordinate with EVS systems to export required clips and footage.
- Continue post-event tagging and metadata completion as per media management guidelines.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Generate reports to track performance KPIs of the broadcast centre.
- Uphold integrity and professional best practices in handling sensitive client live and pre-recorded assets.
Health & Safety and Compliance
- Follow company health and safety policies and risk assessments diligently.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes to meet legal obligations and retain ISO certification standards.
Experience and Competencies
- 2 to 3 years' experience with Media Asset Management Systems is essential.
- Proficiency or strong interest in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, non-linear editing (NLE) tools, and broadcast applications.
- Familiarity with DAM/MAM platforms like Iconik, Cantemo, Front Porch Digital, or Dalet, and media conversion tools like Adobe Media Encoder, Elemental Server, or Telestream Vantage is advantageous.
- Demonstrated passion for broadcast, especially esports productions, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of video and audio broadcast formats and experience with cloud-based media upload and format conversion.
- Basic understanding of XML and JSON formats and EVS operation for file extraction is desirable.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google business apps.
- Effective communication skills to liaise across departments and clearly document processes.
- Team-oriented mindset with initiative, resilience, organizational ability, inquisitive approach, analytical skills, interpersonal sensitivity, and integrity.
- Ability to travel occasionally to client sites for on-site broadcast support.
Additional Information
The role involves working with Riot Games’ Remote Broadcast Centre for esports titles including League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Valorant, utilizing cutting-edge broadcast technology. Candidates will report to the Service Delivery Manager in Dublin and may be required to travel internationally. Upholding professional standards and client confidentiality is critical in this position.
