Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, dice, and mince meat according to specific recipes, excluding breaking down beef carcasses.
• Maintain sharp knives and ensure safe handling practices at all times.
• Adhere to quality control protocols and meat processing standards, including completing basic documentation and records.
• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety compliance throughout the work process.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet scheduling targets and reduce waste.
• Safely undertake manual tasks such as lifting, staging, sanitizing, and thorough cleaning at the end of shifts.

Candidate Profile

• Available to work Monday to Friday starting at 5:00 am.
• Demonstrated experience in meat preparation involving cutting, dicing, and mincing.
• Competent in knife sharpening and maintenance.
• Good grasp of quality control and meat processing standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Capable of working autonomously and effectively within teams.
• Physically fit to manage the job's demands safely.
• Committed to safety with adherence to WHS practices.
• Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced work setting.
• Certification in Meat Processing (Certificate II or III) is beneficial but not mandatory.

Employment Details

• Working hours consist of a Monday to Friday schedule beginning at 5 am, totaling 38 hours weekly with occasional overtime.
• The role offers ongoing casual employment with a view to potential permanent status.
