Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, confident, and engaging customer service in line with our commitment to an outstanding fresh food shopping experience.
• Greet customers warmly, assist them effectively, and share your enthusiasm and knowledge about our meat products.
• Skillfully prepare and cut meats to create appealing displays that uphold high product quality standards.
• Package, stock, and rotate products on the service counters and shelves to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized work and storage areas by performing routine housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.
• Adhere strictly to corporate policies, especially those related to Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP compliance, and proper use of equipment.
• Support the development of team members in the Meat Cutter training program by providing mentorship and promoting operational excellence.
• Perform designated opening and closing tasks and assist colleagues as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Help management with operational tasks including inventory management and supply orders.
• Take on additional duties occasionally to support overall department functioning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional and engaging customer service.
• Between one and three years of experience in a similar meat cutting role, or a comparable blend of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently with a dedication to quality, precision, and cleanliness.
• Strong team orientation with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment requiring sustained focus on high service and quality criteria.
• Capability to thrive in physically demanding conditions involving extended standing, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, use of protective gear, and cold work environments.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English required; French language skills would be advantageous.
