Position Overview

Key Duties

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the meat department to ensure readiness for customers at all times, including rotating stock and discarding expired or unsellable items.
• Make sure all products are accurately priced and labeled by following established procedures for ordering, markdowns, signage, and pricing.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain standards, such as conducting temperature checks, calibrating thermometers, handling food correctly, rotating stock, and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take customer orders and prepare deli products like meat, cheese, and fried chicken using various equipment such as slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers, ensuring safe operation and quality presentation.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a hygienic and secure work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations and consistent customer service.

Work Environment Challenges

• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting, including overnight shifts, by managing energy and focus effectively.
• Perform physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment up to 50 lbs., along with repetitive stocking and organizing duties.
