Marketing Executive

Overview

The Marketing Executive at BIMA will play a vital role in enhancing member engagement and awareness of benefits offered, primarily through targeted email campaigns and social media channels. The range of member benefits includes virtual round tables, social gatherings, paid partnership activities, awards promotion, various BIMA programs, and ticket sales.

The role demands high organizational skills and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, close collaboration with the Events and Operations teams is required. Though the position is primarily remote, the team holds an office day in London every two weeks, and occasional travel within the UK is expected.

Core Responsibilities

• Promote BIMA’s events, membership benefits, and initiatives to increase attendance and engagement.
• Maintain and update the organization's website and social media platforms.
• Encourage participation in key programs such as Digital Day and Awards.

Specific Duties

Membership

• Create and distribute member newsletters on a weekly or monthly basis.
• Keep membership presentations updated, ensuring brand consistency and relevance.

Events

• Boost event registrations using targeted emails and social media posts.
• Manage a busy schedule for email communications.
• Write compelling copy for email and social media channels to advertise events.
• Archive post-event content online for accessibility.

BIMA Awards

• Increase awards entry submissions through email and social media campaigns.
• Engage and recruit awards judges via digital communications.
• Host case studies in an online archive.
• Promote ticket sales for the awards ceremony to meet sales targets.
• Provide social media coverage during the awards night.
• Create assets for judges and award winners.

BIMA 100

• Drive awards entries and recruit judges through coordinated email and social campaigns.
• Promote tickets and manage sales targets.
• Deliver social media campaigns promoting case studies.
• Produce assets for judges and winners.

Digital Day

• Recruit agencies and schools to participate in Digital Day events.
• Design and distribute social media assets to schools and agencies.
• Generate PR and social media engagement to increase awareness and registrations.
• Assist in the creation of educational materials for schools.

BIMA House

• Promote attendance registrations for BIMA House events.
• Enhance awareness and registrations through PR and social media.

Sponsors and Partners

• Run email and social campaigns to promote partner events and drive registrations.
• Keep partnership presentations updated and aligned with brand guidelines.

Upskill Pillar

• Market training courses and mentoring through planned email and social campaigns.
• Prepare and distribute a dedicated training newsletter.

Marketing and Brand

• Create and manage content for the official BIMA website.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment and is comfortable executing multiple tactical email and social media campaigns to boost member engagement and promote a comprehensive event calendar. Exceptional copywriting and creative skills tailored to email and social media formats are essential.

Experience with design tools such as Photoshop and Canva is preferred. Previous background in digital marketing or marketing roles is beneficial. Experience working within a membership organization is advantageous but not mandatory.
