It is a pioneer in the Indian card market and was the first nonbanking entity in India to issue credit cards. The primary business is credit card issuance, alongside supporting Bank of Baroda in merchant acquiring operations.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The position involves managing key card operations including overseeing Production Centre functions such as handling outgoing staging procedures and incoming transaction processing. The role requires managing the entire lifecycle of card scheme settlement operations, ensuring timely settlements, and maintaining turnaround times for rejection reprocessing. Coordination with various stakeholders like Card Schemes, Technology, Finance, and Operations is essential for resolving issues and enhancing processes. Strengthening operational controls to ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, and scheme operating standards is critical. Additionally, leading automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and mitigate operational risks are expected.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated technical expertise in scheme settlements and transaction processing is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with cross-departmental stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
- Capability to maintain detailed and accurate records complying with regulatory guidelines, card network requirements, Government of India directives, and internal policies.
