Maintenance Technician

Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing repair and maintenance duties as delegated by the Maintenance Team Leader, ensuring machines are restored to operational status following detailed work instructions and equipment manuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair tasks assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader, strictly following established Work Instructions and Machine Manuals to effectively restore equipment functionality.
• Collaborate with Lead Technician or Team Leader for assistance in diagnosing and resolving complex machine breakdowns as necessary.
• Submit requests for spare parts through the designated Spare Parts Requisition Form, obtaining prior approval from the Maintenance Team Leader to manage component usage efficiently.
• Upon finishing repairs, thoroughly clean the work area in compliance with Post Maintenance Cleaning Work Instructions, ensuring the environment is clear of debris and work residues.
• Document the repair process by recording completion time, details of the task, any outstanding issues, or new discoveries on the Repair Request Form to maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Obtain approval and feedback from the Production Team Leader on completed repairs before submitting documentation to the Maintenance Team Leader, confirming production department satisfaction with the work performed.
• Execute scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks as directed, using checklists to verify completion and report new findings for future maintenance planning.
• Conduct internal calibration duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader, following Calibration Work Instructions to maintain equipment accuracy.
• Participate in 5S activities as per the 5S plan to improve overall workplace organization and conditions.
