About the Role
Join Dyno Nobel as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for FIFO operations in Western Australia's Pilbara region, working primarily with European brand trucks such as Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, and MAN. This position offers the opportunity to service and maintain dealer-spec Volvo Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) integrated with ammonium nitrate manufacturing technology on iron ore sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both planned and corrective maintenance on FM 8x4 Volvo-based MPU trucks and related auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain all aspects of roadworthy heavy vehicles equipped with advanced onboard ammonium nitrate manufacturing systems.

- Qualified as a Heavy Vehicle trade mechanic, with auto electrical or dual trade skills considered advantageous.
- Familiarity and experience with European heavy vehicle brands like Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, and MAN.
- Proficient understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry and control systems.
- Diagnostic expertise and fault-finding capabilities.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Dangerous Goods clearance certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Holding a HR licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
Additional Information
This role involves an 8:6 FIFO roster with comfortable camp accommodation onsite. The position supports career development through ongoing training and succession planning.
