Elis is an international provider of textile, hygiene, and cleanroom services operating in 30 countries. The business supports highly regulated sectors with contamination-control solutions, working with customers in pharmaceutical, medical device, and high-tech manufacturing settings.

In this role, you will help keep plant, production, and cleanroom-critical equipment running safely, reliably, and in line with compliance requirements. The work is practical and hands-on, with a mix of routine maintenance, urgent repairs, and continuous improvement support in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on production, ICS, and cleanroom equipment.
  • Identify faults and complete repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Help maintain cleanroom compliance by keeping equipment aligned with required control standards.
  • Support the setup, commissioning, and alteration of equipment.
  • Work with production, quality, and operations teams to reduce downtime.
  • Keep maintenance logs and related records accurate and up to date.
  • Follow Health & Safety rules, site procedures, and regulatory obligations; carry out fire walks at the end of shift and ensure shutdown procedures are completed correctly.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when needed.

Skills and experience

  • A recognised trade qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience, in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
  • Background in an industrial or manufacturing setting; experience with cleanroom or regulated environments is an advantage.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
  • A flexible, proactive, and self-starting approach.

Benefits

  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Access to training and development opportunities.
  • A stable, long-term position in a growing cleanroom business.
  • A professional workplace with a strong focus on safety.
