For this Auburn, Alabama role, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the property safe, functional, and well maintained. The position works closely with residents and management to handle repairs, address service needs, and support the overall quality of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident work orders quickly and professionally, delivering timely and reliable repair service.
  • Respond to maintenance requests, urgent issues, and emergency calls with strong customer service and follow-up.
  • Carry out general repair work involving plumbing, electrical systems, painting, appliances, carpentry, and similar tasks.
  • Inspect buildings, outdoor areas, equipment, and shared spaces on a routine basis to spot maintenance or safety issues.
  • Help keep the property clean, attractive, safe, and fully operational.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing inspections, repairs, and turnover tasks to company standards.
  • Maintain pools, spas, and associated equipment where applicable, following local certification and safety rules.
  • Take part in on-call and after-hours emergency response as scheduled.
  • Track and maintain inventories of tools, equipment, and supplies while keeping storage spaces orderly and secure.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, company safety practices, and preventive maintenance procedures, and attend ongoing safety training.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience, with exposure to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

  • EPA Type I certification or above preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, including relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort using technology and online systems.
