Maintenance Engineer

Overview

Skyline Industries Pvt Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience specifically within EOT crane manufacturing or related heavy engineering sectors. The role involves overseeing the upkeep, troubleshooting, and enhancement of manufacturing machinery and utilities to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Duties

• Execute scheduled preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Identify and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems promptly.
• Maximize machine operational availability and reduce downtime efficiently.
• Maintain detailed maintenance schedules, documentation, and generate reports.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Track machine performance and suggest reliability and efficiency enhancements.
• Manage inventory of essential spare parts and assist procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support installation, commissioning, and relocation of machinery.
• Engage in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Participate in TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience of 2 to 5 years in maintenance within manufacturing environments like EOT cranes, heavy engineering, or industrial equipment production.

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance techniques.
• Practical skills with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of electrical components including motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Awareness of industrial safety practices and maintenance standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with overhead cranes, hoists, welding, CNC machines, and fabrication tools.
• Understanding of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and automation systems is beneficial.
• Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing methodologies, or ISO standards preferred.
